Bed Weather

It's been raining for days. If it isn't raining, the sky is gloomy. Makes me want to stay in bed all day.

Charlie Brown Cafe

If you don't already know, I'm a huge fan of Charlie Brown and the Peanuts gang. I enjoy reading the comic strips and think every character is unique and so wonderfully created by Charles Schulz. I love the strips because they're simply charming and funny but never in a mean way.

So, back in 2010, when I discovered there exists a Charlie Brown Cafe, I simply got excited and swore I will never leave Hong Kong without seeing this cafe. And we really did. My sister and I looked for the address and braved the rain holding a map running along the wet sidewalks of the city.

After two disappointed stops, my sister and I finally got there and it was like Charlie Brown & Peanuts heaven! It actually looked more like a museum than a cafe, but nevertheless I loved it.

“Mr and Mrs Smith”-inspired Family Shoot

It's been a tradition to this family to have their portraits taken every year, sometime after Christmas. The year 2012 marked their 10th anniversary as a couople and decided on a themed photo shoot.

There are some scenes of Mr and Mrs Smith that were difficult to redo mainly because of the location but the couple suggested a good location. Despite having the "garden" look, we managed to pull-off the black suit image used in the movie poster. We also took some photos from the bar and restaurant of Tierra Cafe. It was fun redoing the popular scenes and I hope we pretty much remind you of Brad and Angelina when you see these photos.

Catching Up January

Happy new year! Gosh, better late than never! I seriously miss having something to post very often. I realize I haven't been taking more of my random photography ever since I agreed to cover children's birthday parties.

Meanwhile, I have been over at Instagram posting square-shaped what-nots. Until recently, I was using Instagram for Android on a Galaxy S, pretty decent-looking photos but it's quite a pain to have bad quality shots at times. I think the Galaxy 5-Megapixel camera is not as fast as an iOS camera. So I gave into temptation and got myself an iOS device, an iPad 3 for Christmas. I didn't buy a new one but bought a slightly-used one from a friend of a friend. And since then I allowed myself to go crazy on photography editing and typography apps.

Hoping to shoot more creative and random shots soon! Happy weekend!
