BTS - Damien's Photoshoot

Here are some snapshots from the portrait session I had with baby Damien last May. We held the shoot at Forest Camp, Valencia, thanks to Rona and Buddy for having us there and for the refreshing and delicious halo-halo. Their halo-halo is a must-try when you visit Forest Camp.

NOAH Center Bacong

NOAH is short for Negros Oriental Arts and Heritage Center. It was a surprisingly nice place to see, with all the artistic display. It's very much like Dumaguete's Sidlakang Negros, only that NOAH has so much more to see. I personally think they don't maintain and improve sidlakang negros that much.

One of their staff kindly showed us around and allowed us to tour their little factory at the back of their building. They really had so many beautiful pieces and it's a bit sad to think very few people know of it. I wish they had a branch in Dumaguete where more people could see and admire and even purchase their items.

Team Building at Camp Lookout, Valencia

I took the chance to go with this year's faculty and staff retreat seeing that I have never attended one before and I also kind of needed to see a new place, what with all the work I had been doing in front of the computer recently.

The ride to camp lookout was a long one. I first thought it's only a little bit further away from Forest Camp but no. On board our jeepney, we passed through broken paths, roads under repair and a lot of trees. It was clearly what you would call a bumpy ride. It was fun though, because we get to laugh and joke about it along the way.

I found the place very relaxing and very reminscent of Baguio. Not that I've ever been to Baguio, no. I just think it reminds you of the place because of the trees and cabins. It could actually pass as a place somewhere in the Netherlands.

It was very peaceful and there were so many flowers and plants. Indeed such a great place to have a retreat and be at peace with nature. There were about five cabins where you could also spend the night if the retreat activities call for it.
